Your experiences, thus far absolutely break my heart. Yet with all the heartbreak and uncertainty, there is so much to be thankful for AND to look forward to. Your itty-bity Mackenzie is such a fighter. NICU docs/nurses will tell you the littlest ones are always the toughest ones. My daughter, also named Mackenzie was a teeny-tiny 29 weeker born at
1 lb 9oz just 5 months ago. The helplessness you feel is unbearable. The excitement is overshadowed by so much uncertainty. My prayer is for your sweet Mackenzie to continue to fight and overcome all her medical issues and begin to thrive so you can see all the roly-poly chub these preemies are so infamous for. May your sweet baby angel Alexis continue to look down on you and your family and keep you all from harms way.
From one Mackenzie to another, "Grow Mack Grow!"Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
